BCNC offers an interesting customer-service training program for English language learners. This program is industry-recognized for it's quality and prepares students for the National Retail Federation Rise-Up Customer Service and Sales Certification.

The program covers:
Customer service skills
Sales skills
English for work vocabulary
Job search assistance
Interview practice
One-on-one assistance finding (and keeping) a job
Class Dates/Times:
August 26 – December 20, 2024 (16 weeks, not including holidays)
Check with BCNC for the 2025 Winter/Spring program date
Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
Class times are from 9:30am - 12:30pm
There are weekly field trips or speakers to learn about different employers
In addition, students will do 3 additional hours of independent classwork each week
There is also a 1-hour one-to-one session with a career counselor each week
Requirements for participation:
18 years of age or older
Intermediate level of English or above (SPL 3+)
Live in metro Boston
Meet low-income requirements
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
