The City of Boston periodically recruits people who are committed to caring for Boston's youngest learners. These programs are appropriate for current educators as well as for people who are interested in becoming certified or licensed as an educator.
There are programs (some free) offering credentialing for Childhood Development Associates (CDA); CDA Renewals; Lead Teacher Certifications; Director's Certifications; Associates Degrees; Bachelor's Degrees; and Master's Degrees.
Applicants who earn credentials through these programs must commit to working in an early childhood program in Boston for 2-3 years. Boston residency is not required.
