JVS Announces 2026-2027 Schedule for Transitions to Work Internships
INFORMATION FROM JVS:
What is Transitions to Work(TTW)?
TTW is a 1-year program beginning with an internship (unpaid) followed
by job development and job placement services. This means that you
will learn skills to help search for, accept, and keep a job.
>> To be in TTW you must have the interest and commitment to getting a paid job.
The program starts with a 6 or 7 week internship:
The first week is an orientation and the next 5 or 6 weeks you intern in one department with staff who mentor, train, and supervise you.
This internship is practice for a real job.
You are expected to attend every day on time and to participate fully.
After the internship is completed, we have a required graduation to celebrate, but the program is not over. You will work with a JVS Career Coach for the rest of the year in 1:1 job-development and job-placement services.
