The program seeks people who are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarine Chinese, Arabic, and/or Haitian Creole (as well as English).

In collaboration with BWH, the program includes:

  • 60 hours of remote instruction

  • Up to 20 hours of preparation for the national certification exam (NBCMI – National Board of Certified Medical Interpreters)

Great opportunity, language skills saving lives in real time. Programs like this make me think of The Good Doctor or the docuseries Lenox Hill (both streaming), where interpreters quietly hold entire conversations — and outcomes — together. If you’re fluent in any of those languages, this free BHCC program sounds like a smart and meaningful way to start a career that truly matters.
