Community Work Services operates a Trades Ready Program that runs for 9 weeks. The current program has an 8/10/26 start date. Check for upcoming start dates.
Trades Ready is an intensive training that prepares participants for entry-level employment in construction and related trades. Sessions meet Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. The program includes classroom instruction, lab experience, safety certification, and job readiness training.
Participants will earn their OSHA 30 and NCCER Core certifications. A stipend of up to $500 also comes with the training.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must complete a TABE test. This is a timed, two-part math assessment covering topics such as prime and composite numbers, grids, fractions, decimals, etc. Calculators are not permitted.
Additional requirements for Trades Ready:
18 years or older
U.S. work authorization
Ability to read, write, and understand basic English
High school diploma or equivalent
Pass the TABE Test
