From BCNC: "The STEP into Healthcare (Skills Training for Entry-level Positions in Healthcare) Program is a free training for intermediate-advanced English language learners seeking full-time entry-level employment in the healthcare industry.
This program is held in partnership with Tufts Medicine, Beth Israel Lahey Health, the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, MassHire Metro North Workforce Board and is a SNAP Path to Work program."

The program covers:
Skills for communicating with patients, visitors, and colleagues
Computer and phone skills
English for work
Job search and interview practice
One-on-one help every week with finding and keeping a job
OSHA-10 Training and Certification
NOTE: Eligible students may receive up to 4 monthly T-passes
Class Dates/Times:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:45am-1:15pm (includes lunch break)
3 hours homework per week
1 hour of personalized career counseling weekly
16 hours of class total every week
Course length: 12 weeks
Requirements for participation:
Live in Greater Boston area
Low-income
Available to work 30 or more hours per week
Be a non-native English speaker with Intermediate English
