National Grid has an Energy Infrastructure Academy that offers a hands-on 7-week training program that could lead to an entry or mid-level union job with National Grid. The Fall class starts October 2 and the winter class starts December 18. You must be at least 18 years old, have a GED or equivalent, and a driver's license.
